

HDR seems to show colors which are over saturated, i know the idea of HDR is deeper colors but on AMD they look overly colorful and it only seems to do this on the latest drivers.I am currently running driver version 23.3.2 but i have tried other versions as well with varied results but all of them have issues.

Eventually I used MSI afterburner to tame the fans with a curve which keeps temps around 65c at maximum load but also doesn't make my ears bleed. SOOO LOUD! why aren't the drivers providing better control over fan speed? Perhaps this is a vendor issue (XFX) but it instantly made me regret my decision to go AMD. Firstly the GPU was going from 0% fan speed to 100% fan speed which sounded like a group of rack mounted servers going off. Once you get a driver crash, system freeze, or see visual anomalies, then dial it back to 10-20 Mhz, and then try again.So, I decided to give AMD a try after years and years of being on Nvidia GPU's (been using them since the ATI days!) I've chosen the rather dated at this point but still capable RX 270 by XFX (8GB GDDR5 model) to replace my GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 card. Run Heaven for 5-10 mins, watch your temps, etc. You use the exact same process as your CORE overclock, and take it as high as you can. Now, memory OC's generally don't provide that much FPS gains, so it's up to you if you even want to tweak this setting as well. Once you have your maximum stable core overclock figured out, you can do the same for the Memory. Test (Prime95 or Heaven, or any other benchmark for ~5-10 mins).

All components have different voltage tolerances.Voltage increases always should be tiny. Only increase voltage if your temperature values are safe at FULL load. Voltage and heat are the things you want to watch out for. If you don't observe any of these, then you are safe. For the system stability, you need to look for artifacts, polygons, or a system FREEZE/hang after applying the overclocking settings.
